![]() ![]() Instead of this (notice arial font original style and multilevel list: I get something like this: (Time New Roman, wacky multilevel list) I have tried to alter the outline numbering that I created YEARS ago as it still works, but I cant create a new style based on it that will do outline numbering. If you want to work with MS set notion of outline numbering ( 1, a, ii, etc) things are fine, but you can't create real outline numbering (1, 1.1, 1.1.1, etc), it's broken. The other thing of note, is that if you go back to to another level (say 3 to 2 and back to 3) the drop down "include numbering from" either it on 1 or is not dropped down to anything. level 3 present like this: 1) (see a pattern here?) If I remove the ")" then I get two greyed 11 but not a third one and I'm still missing "." to make them outlined.Īn it continues. level 2 presents like this: 1) (the same as level 1 even if I tell it to include the number from level 1) if I remove the ")" then and tell it to include the number from level 1, it goes to this 11 (with both of them greyed but not 1.1 which is whatģ. level 1 starts out like this: 1) (where the 1 but not the ) is greyed)Ģ. So I created the styles, but when I try to create the outline list with the styles attached it does not work, the window to create a new multilevel list is not responding in the same manner as it has in the past, and so I'm totally hosed. I needed to create a the same outline numbering but change the the font and spacing (above and below the text etc) for a client document. ![]() In the past I've created an outline numbering using styles that have been associated with a multilevel list. I'm working with MS Word for Mac, Version 16.16.8. ![]()
